The Lexicon a.k.a. Lex Marcus Thompson is a 21 year old producer, rapper, writer, singer, and dancer hailing from Detroit, Michigan. Since as long as he can remember music has always seemed to mean more to him than it did to the others around him. Music of all genres has always played a major role in his life, from Fresh Prince & Jazzy Jeff, to TLC, to Notorious B.I.G, Alanis Morissette, A Tribe Called Quest, Smashing Pumpkins, all the way up to the artists of today. Lex actually began teaching himself piano at the age of 17. Now only four years later, after a complete studio revamp, and with the ever growing popularity of his video blog which brings viewers along on brief production tutorials and gives insight on your "not-so-everyday" producer; he is ready to pursue a career in that field.
He is currently focusing the bulk of his time on writing and producing a Mixtape for his solo band "She Wants The World." His goal is to create and/or become part of a team of serious individuals who share a similar passion for music as he does.
