First he says a prayer. Second he designs a melody. Third he adds his beat. And when it seems he's  finished and the song might just be perfect, he adds the “sprinkles.”

That's how J. Troup writes a song.

“The sprinkles are the little extras that take a track from good to great. The reverse cymbal crashes, the cymbal crashes, the tiny blips and bleeps in the background for ambiance, the transition effects.”
